 The teaching role in the face of problems arising from the use of digital technologies in the early years of elementary school

Abstract: This article aims to investigate how elementary school teachers in the early years of a public school analyze the problems of using digital technologies in the school context and how they work to minimize the problem. It is based on authors such as Leite and Ribeiro (2012), Buckingham (2012) Pimentel (2017), Teixeira and Vasconcelos-Raposo (2019), Santos (2020), among others that deal with technologies in education, this is an exploratory research, of a nature qualitative, in which data and information were collected from the elaboration of a questionnaire, contemplating questions about the theme, and a documentary analysis of the Pedagogical Political Project regarding the institution's technological resources. In the results, it was found that, even with the theoretical contribution showing us the importance of using TD in the classroom, there are still limitations in the school environment, which involve factors such as the lack of resources and their disuse as a result of the lack initial and continuous preparation of teachers.
